"An 'El Nino' dump."Indeed, three storms of increasing power have socked it to Taos Ski Valley over just four days, in El Nino fashion. A fourth storm lurks around the corner in stormy California. Triple-play for sure, maybe a homerun? Snow is most welcome here, after a dry start to 2010.
Some 18 inches have piled up already. Snow's forecast for all day Friday into Saturday. Winter storm warnings are in effect until 6 am Saturday, 1/23. Taos Ski Valley may expect around two feet of new snow from this storm alone, atop the fresh foot accumulated earlier this week.Schools and services close shop while die-hard skiers and snowboarders flock in droves to play in the mountain powder. Another snowball just smacked into the Welcome Booth window here! Come play!
